The core rules of Places of Power are freely available because we want people to be able to discover, play and enjoy the game without having to buy anything first.

You are welcome to use these rules for your own games, including homebrew campaigns and adventures, and you are welcome to share these rules with other players.

The rules, setting, characters, artwork and other material created for Places of Power remain the intellectual property of their respective creators. You may not reproduce, repackage or sell this material as your own, or include it in a commercial product without our permission.

We are currently exploring a more open licensing model for Places of Power, and once the game is fully released we intend to make an appropriate version of the rules available under a Creative Commons licence. Until then, the permissions above apply.

In short: play it, share it, make it your own at the table, just don't sell our work as yours.
